Sri Lanka has a bevy of beautiful waterfalls that cast a spell on the onlookers with their thundering presence and surroundings.

Bambarakande Falls:

It is the tallest fall in Sri Lanka that flows down a distance of 263 meters. This majestic fall is located only four miles away from the Colombo-Bandarawela road in a forest glade.

Diyaluma Falls:

With a length of 220 meters, it is another popular fall in Sri Lanka. It is originated from Mahakande Pass in Koslanda even though locals believe that this fall was the creation of the gods. The fall spills over a straight rock wall making it a treat for the eyes.

Kirindi Oya Falls:

On the way from Ratnapura to Pelmadulla, you would find this fall that rolls down 200 meters. Take a walk along the wild grass land and have a grand sight!

Duvili Ella Fall:

This is perhaps the most fascinating of all the falls in Sri Lanka. Though not as tall as the previous ones, it commends attention due to the misty aura that envelops it. Trail down this fall that descends 40 meters from a broad rock.

Ravana Ella Fall:

This fall has strong mythological connection as it is associated with the Ravana legend. It is located among rising mountains and majestic valleys. Indian princes Sita is said to have taken bath here when she was abducted and captivated by Ravana.

Baker's Falls:

The icy water of this fall glitters in sun rays. It is located in the famous Horton Plains. Deep valleys and mountain setting provide a fine back drop to it. The rare black monkey can also be seen around it.
