Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Colombo
On arrival to Colombo International Airport, you will be greet by garlands
and escort to your hotel by our staffs. Colombo is the proud capital of Sri
Lanka and beautified with several spots of tourism significance. Some of the
most alluring places which we have included in your sightseeing trip of
Colombo are The National Museum of Colombo, The Natural History Museum,
Colombo Zoological Gardens, Galle Face Green Promenade, The Jami Ul Alfar
Mosque, Colombo Fort and Murgun Temple etc.
After exploring all these places, you will be returned back to your hotel
for dinner and over night stay.
Day 2: Kithulgaya
Our next destination is Kithulgaya , which is just 2 hours away from
Colombo. Its a sleepy town, located between West Coast and the Central
Highlands of Sri Lanka. If you are an adventure buff and have the courage to
conquer the untamed water of River Kelani, than Kithulgaya is ideal for you.
Here, we will arrange white water rafting expedition at Kelani River, under
proper guidance of experts. After rafting, ready to gorge on delicious food
at river side.
Day 3: Kandy
After an early breakfast, get ready to enjoy a fantastic tour to Kandy, the
cultural capital of Sri Lanka. This is day 3 of our tour package and you
will be taken to Kandy from Kithulgala. Kandy is the last capital Sri Lankas
kings before British in 1815 conquered the land. Every corner of this city
still possesses the glimpses of royal days of bygone era. The most stunning
attractions of this city are Temple of Tooth Relic, which is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site, the Royal Palace, Lankatilaka Temple, Gadaladeniya Temple,
and the Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya.
After a hectic sightseeing trip of Kandy, we will return to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 4: Kandy - Sigiriya
Day 4 of our tour package includes an excursion trip to Sigiriya from
Kandy. Sigiriya is another beautiful city where one can very well witness
the deep rooted Sri Lankan culture. This place is famous for its Rock
Fortress, which is often considered as Eighth Wonder of World. Sigiriya Rock
Fortress was created by King Kasyapa , who reigned the city between 477 -495
AD. It is just 600 ft above the surrounding jungle and an easy climb.
After a trekking trip to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, you will be transported
back to Kandy hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 5: Pinnawalla
Next day after breakfast, we will drive towards Pinnawalla. This place is
famous for its Elephant Orphanage. Its a unique and first of its kind.
This orphanage was started by Sri Lankan Government in 1972. But, relocated
to its present site in 1975. Here, in this rehabilitation centre you will
get to see orphaned and disabled elephants are bottle -fed and taking care
by the dedicated staffs.
At Pinnawalla, we will have our lunch and continue drive towards Negombo
beach resort. On reaching, Negombo we will check-in to a beach side hotel
for 2 nights stay.
Day 6: Negombo
Negombo is a beautiful beach town blessed with some exotic beaches. It is
located on the West Coast of Sri Lanka and famous for its century old
fishing industry. It is just 7 km away from Bandaranaike International
Airport and an ideal place for those travelers who want quick access to
serene environment of sandy stretches. Negombo beaches are best for spending
some leisure moments and relaxing your mind, body and soul. If you want you
can even participate in various kinds of water sports and diving here at
Negombo.
After a hectic day at beachside, return to hotel in the evening for a
mouth-watering sea food dinner and good sleep.
Day 7: Depart from Colombo
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo for your onward
journey.
