Detailed Itinerary:

Grand Tour Of Sri Lanka Day 01: Colombo
On arrival to Bandaranaike International Airport, our representatives will meet you and transfer you to Colombo hotel. After having some refreshments, we will commence our sightseeing tour of Colombo city. Our tour will include visit to fort and Pettah, the hub of commercial activities, town hall, independence square, BICH (Bandaranaike International Convention Hall), national museum, Dehiwala zoological gardens. While returning to our hotel, en-route we will visit the British and Hindu Temple. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the hotel.

Day 02: Colombo - Pinnewala – Sigriya
Next morning, after breakfast get ready for Sigiriya. En-route we will visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage. It’s a one of its kind. Established by Sri Lanka government to rehabilitate abandoned and orphaned Elephants. Lunch will be on the way to Sigiriya. Thereafter, we will proceed to Sigiriya. This place is famous for its rock fortress. Climb the rock fortress and view the famous frescoes painted in a rock pocket and also see the mirror wall. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 03: Sigiriya –Dambulla –Kandy
On day 3, after breakfast, we will proceed towards Kandy, the” hill capital of Sri Lanka”. En-route visits the cave temple at Dambulla. Similar to Sigiriya, Dambulla rock temple is a vast isolated rock mass and this is the very place where in Ist century B.C., King Valagambahu took refuge. He later turned the caves into rock temple. These caves are beautified with frescos which are more than 2000 years old and a colossal figure of recumbent Buddha of 14 m height, carved out of a living rock.

Thereafter, we will visit spice garden and a wood carving factory at Matale. Continue drive towards Kandy. After reaching Kandy, check-in to hotel for some refreshments. In the evening, visit Dalada Maligawa temple where the sacred Tooth Relic of “Lord Buddha” is enshrined. Thereafter, we will take you to Kandy Cultural Centre to watch a cultural programme perform by the local artists. Return to Kandy hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Sigiriya – Kandy
After breakfast, we will start our sightseeing tour to Kandy. At first, we will visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, where we can view endangered species of tropical and indigenous flora and the famous Orchid House. Drive around the around the upper lake to witness the picturesque University Campus buildings which exhibits traditional Sinhalese architecture. After this we will visit the arts and crafts centre and return to hotel for some refreshments. Evening time is free from shopping. Overnight stay at Kandy hotel.

Day 05: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Next day, after breakfast we will proceed for Nuwara Eliya. En-route visits a tea factory and tea estate. Check-in to Nuwara Eliya hotel and have our lunch. Afterwards, we will commence our sightseeing tour to Nuwara-Eliya which includes Hakgal Botanical Garden, Golf Course and Market place. Hakgal Garde is famous for exotic trees, shrubs, herbs, an excellent Rose Garden, a rare fernery including the giant tree fern of Sri Lanka. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota
On day 6, we will leave for Bentota. En route visit the Galle harbor, a former Dutch city and the Dutch Fort. These places exhibit the architecture belonging to Dutch era. En-route enjoy a ride in glass bottom boat to view the coral reef. Overnight stay at a hotel in Bentota.

Day 07: Bentota Beach stay (Day Free)
Entire day stay at beach hotel Bentota and enjoy some leisure activity at the sandy stretches of beach.

Day 08: Bentota - Colombo
Next morning, pack your luggage for return journey to Colombo. And transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo for your departure flight.
